July 2025: At the 11th JAC Supplier Forum held in Hong Kong in June, we took the opportunity to award suppliers who participated in JAC audits during the 2024 campaign. Awards were based on their level of compliance to the JAC Sustainability Supply Chain Guidelines and their Corrective Action Plan (CAP) closure rate.
The JAC Sustainability Supply Chain Guidelines are based on internationally recognised CSR principles and cover the following areas:
- – Labour Requirements
- – Health and Safety
- – Environment
- – Business ethics
Weightings were given for suppliers’ audit score(s) and rate of CAP closure, to arrive at a final score, which was given a gold, silver or bronze audit rating.

JAC started as a CSR audit sharing initiative and has come a long way since its inception in 2010 by Deutsche Telekom, Orange and Telecom Italia. Now it has 31 of the world’s largest telecoms operators as members and manages the sharing of around 200 new audits per year and has a library approaching 1,000 audits.
The launch of supplier audit ratings is a big step forward in recognising excellence in our supply chain, enabling our suppliers to demonstrate their performance levels. JAC ratings are backed by data collected during independent third-party audits, giving them credibility.
The ratings are not only about recognising outstanding performance by our suppliers, but also a key element in our work to deliver continued improvement and shared learning across our supply chain.
We look forward to more of our suppliers gaining the highest level of recognition from JAC and our ratings becoming the gold standard across the industry.
