There is an ever-increasing need for larger companies to have control over production units far down the supply chain. The need for transparency is also increasing, not least in light of the increased amount of EU legislation on the sustainability agenda, which requires reporting and due diligence. That is why Nuuday is now joining one of the strongest communities and interest organizations that work to reduce climate impact and provide better conditions for workers, nature and the environment in the industry.

In this way, we stand together with other operators to take responsibility for implementing, maintaining and improving everything from work to environmental standards among telecommunications suppliers,” says Robert Kirstejn Schmidt, Head of Sustainability at Nuuday.
JAC conducts audits across telecommunications suppliers and focuses on verifying, assessing, developing and implementing ‘ best practice ‘ across production units of the main, largest, multinational suppliers of IT hardware, mobile phones and equipment. Nuuday’s membership of JAC is therefore an important step for the company and the industry, as cooperation between operators on a large scale promotes more responsible procurement globally.
Since its foundation in 2010, JAC has completed 744 audits in 45 countries, which has led to improved performance on sustainability and improved working conditions among telecommunications suppliers, among other things.
